Hi,

So opinions on:

Should I upgrade from my i5 760 which is currently Overclocked at 3.99Ghz to a G4560? Would I see a performance increase for gaming?

This would also involve buying a 1151 mobo and DDR4 ram. But would also open the road to a later upgrade to i5 7600/7600k and maybe crossfire my GPU.

Current setup:

i5 760 (@3.98Ghz)
Asus P7H55-M
R9 380 Strix (4Gb)
16Gb DDR3 1600Mhz
512Gb Evo SSD
1Tb HDD

Looking for maybe a B250 or Z270 (OC potential later) mobo and 8Gb 2600Mhz DDR4. Any recommendations?

Solution
Get the Pentium. It is faster by 13% (Userbenchmark)
I know it is "Pentium", but it is gen 7 and it's performance is only *slightly* losing i3 6100 by approx. 6% (Userbenchmark)
getting a 7th Gen mobo and DDR4 RAM will increase performance and more durable, since it is newer and features new technology and stuff.
If you go with G4560, get maximum of 2400Mhz RAM, since it doesn't support RAM with any higher clock speed.
Hope this helps!
