Hey Guys, So basically I was playing Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor, and I get to a screen in which i'm told my target so i click the back button to get out of that screen and my computer just immmediately shuts down in the blink of an eye. After that I have to plug it into a different outlet or sometimes it just works to replug it into the same one to get it to turn back on. This mainly happens in shadow of mordor, however it has happened during a game of league of leends before. Do you guys have any ideas as to what is going on?
Thanks in advance!
P.S I have no idea if this is relevant but one of my gpu slots on my motherboard is unable to be locked in with the clip thing cuz its broken but idk if that even matters.

Yeah that's what I thought however what I noticed is it only happens when I click the back button at a certain part in shadow of mordor. That's why I'm not exactly sure.

There is a feature for PCs to shut down at really high temps to prevent damage to in the components. Just to be absolutely certain, maybe you could keep an eye on the temps during a game. Its possible that the heatsink mounting loosened over time and its not in complete contact with the cpu? Or maybe the cpu fan itself could be broken and not spinning?

Also, maybe check the motherboard for any bulging capacitors or anything abnormal. Otherwise, my bets would also be on a suspect PSU.

Hey dude, if you are still having issues try taking out one of your RAM stick and running on 8GB, if it still crashes switch over the RAM sticks and see if that works. I had the exact same problem with the exact same RAM you have: 1866MHz Hyper Fury. Ended up being a dead ram stick.

That is the one thing I have not tried. I am currently away from my computer and in another state but I will check that when I get home! thanks so much!
