So right now, I am using a standard chiclet keyboard on my Dell XPS 15, and I was wondering if it would be worth it to get this ThermalTake keyboard/mouse combo, as they're nice and cheap.

My dream keyboard, of course, is the Logitech 910 Orion Spark, but as a college student, I can't really afford to spend $180 on a keyboard...I don't even know if I have $180. :p So is this keyboard worth it for me? I know membrane keyboards are very VERY much hated on, so I came here to get some more professional/more unbiased help. :)

If you have never owned a mechanical keyboard, you will not know the difference. A mechanical keyboard does feel better, however if you've never used one you wont know how much better it is. This really depends on your opinion. If using the keyboard attached to your laptop bothers you, go ahead and buy a keyboard. The "Gamer" look of the keyboard you provided does not help it in anyway, don't expect added performance. It does have backlight and media keys which is nice.
