I have been suffering from packet loss, I think..

I was first made aware of this issue during a game of league of legends, where I would lag briefly and have everything speed up/catch up with itself.

I have conducted a cmd prompt test to see if I was losing any packets:

Ping statistics for 8.8.8.8:
Packets: Sent = 100, Received = 98, Lost = 2 (2% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 21ms, Maximum = 32ms, Average = 23ms

With this information, I have no form of fix or remediation of the problem as I am unsure where to go from this. Any help is appreciated.

Regards

There will always be some lost packets and latency. Gaming is, by nature, more impacted by such losses; upstream or downstream during play.

The results of pinging Google per se are not really that meaningful.

Ping the game site and also try tracert. But you will need to do both at various times to see if you can find a pattern.

However, most problems may well be outside of 1) your network, and 2) your ISP.

Maybe someone cheating, maybe heavy traffic, maybe bad weather somewhere.

The objective is to identify some identifiable and consistent source of the problem. Being able to do anything about is another issue.
