Just a got a new motherboard (Ab350- gigabyte), Ram (ddr4 hyper x savage), and CPU (Ryzen 7 1700x). And the computer is instantly turning off around the 7minute mark. I've checked the bios and the CPU is running at 90•c on idle sometimes higher, I have liquid cooling (corsair hydro hi something or other) but it still runs crazy hot, the radiator unit itself is very hot to the touch.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what's going on or how to diagnose the issue?

At the moment It turns off way to quick to really check, I get 5mins of use at a push before it instantly switches off. What other way is their to check than bios?

yeah your temp sounds legit if it is powering down so quickly. I would try re-appling your thermal paste and see if that helps. use the X or grain of sand/pea technique to help eliminate air bubbles which can cause temp issues like yours.

I'm not sure, the PSU is 1000w, how do I check the exact voltage? Also how do I go about resetting the bios?

Forgive me I'm new to this, it's my first build.

If you don't know your voltage then it is likely running at default which should be fine. I would start with the thermal paste as I was saying though checking your voltage in bios still is a good idea. look under Vcore and see what it says.

The cooler comes with pre-applied thermal paste. It's not easy to mess up the installation.

I have recently replaced the thermal paste and I spread it as thin as I could across the copper plate. But before that I was having issues when using the pea technique as well.

1. Only ryzen master software should be used for temp monitoring - bear in mind the current version has a 20c temp offset so 90c would actually be 70c

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/amd-ryzen-master-software-v1-1-update-fixes-cpu-temperature-reporting.html

2. 70c is still too hot , if the rad is red hot then you're getting good thermal dissipation from the CPU lid to heatsink.
Is your pump working - should be running a constant full 12v speed , are your rad fans running correctly ??

The corsair software should be used for these readings.

1) FAN - if the fan is spinning at all it's likely not the culprit

2) PUMP - this is my best guess. If it's not working properly it won't push the fluid and thus you can't cool the CPU

(do you need to POWER the pump by attaching it to a fan header?)

3) Other - unless there is a CRACK and the fluid drained out I can't think of another AIO issue.

4) CPU temp incorrect? - possibly, but the quick shutoff is inline with an overheating CPU

Summary:
My best guess is the pump in the AIO is bad, or not installed correctly.

I recommend replacing with the stock air cooler. If that's not the problem at least you'll have confirmed it's not the cooler.

I think the pump might be faulty as guys said, I got a couple of readings befor it shut off. The core starts at 95c and work up to 105 within 4mins and the cpu voltage is 0.792. that's all I managed to get before it shutdown. the general voltage was 5.220, 12.312. The fans working fine and the liquid cooler seems like its pumping through, but, if its running that hot then somethings clearly wrong.

If it is the the liquid cooling system, got any suggestions on a replacement?

Thanks a ton for the really quick replies btw!,
