I formatted my SSD, enabled first in BIOS the AHCI mode. Even after that, I still see this. I even use an older version of Samsung Magician. Is GPT as a partition the issue here? I even tried using different SATA ports, my mobo has only of them and manual indicates that these are compatible ones.. My mobo is ASUS P8 H61-M LX R2.0, the SSD im having a problem with is 850 EVO 250gb. I also have tried the regedit tweak but still no luck.

This is what I see on device manager

And this is my BIOS

Solution
The Samsung Magician program has been known to have a glitch that falsely reports the Samsung SSD is not connected via the AHCI SATA controller mode when in fact it is. You're probably OK since the BIOS reports an AHCI interface when the SSD is connected. Why don't you delete the present version of the SM program installed on your PC and then download the latest version from Samsung's website?

Also ensure that your SSD is connected to the motherboard's first SATA data connector, i.e., SATA 1 (if it isn't already so connected).
