Opinion on a monitor

Solution

Will this be used with an AMD GPU?

I think it would be good for a 1070 with its high-end specs but it's designed for use with an AMD GFX card. I'm not saying it won't get along with a 1070. Quite the opposite really. The freesync will just be something that won't be used.

If you do choose that model head on over to https://jet.com/product/Acer-XG270HU-27-inch-Wide-Screen-LED-Monitor-with-built-in-speakers/c94ce5c47da94cc59aa021dc1a5f10e6 Make sure you enter your promo code spring15 at checkout. That'll be about $65 off their price. Not too shabby. That's about $100 off MSRP.

With its low latency and high refresh rate it'll be great for buttery smooth online gaming(assuming you have a low ping on your end).

Thanks

The problem is (and I absolutely HATE this problem) I live in the UAE.
So the options are very less.

I just wanted to mention that, when calculating the price in USD, the price is $377 which I find it very good.

You remind me of someone I knew who also hated where she lived but was still passionate about politics and other facets of her life in the middle east. The country that shall not be named...

Apart from you sending me on a trip down memory lane, I can only agree with you that that $377 is a good price for a 27" monitor with the included features. Idk, for me 27" is a little too large for me to be at a desk using it but still too small for living room use. However the prices for a 1440p 144Hz 1ms monitor get ridiculous at higher sizes. I think you have done your homework and found a good deal.

Oh good.

If you have any other options (my main priority is 144Hz) I wouldn't mind.
