Hi my GTX 660 Ti just died on me. Though i wasnt gaming much on it for the past 2 3 years, now I am looking for a budget replacement which will let me primarily finish my gaming backlog along with current AAA games all maxed out at 1080p with 30fps minimum. I am buying the card next month when I will be in NY for three weeks. I stay in Mumbai India. I will be upgrading my whole system next year so there is no futureproofing requirement. My config is

i3 3220
Asrock Z77 Extreme6
8gb Gskill Ripjaws X DDR3
Corsair VS650 PSU
Hdmi out to Sony Bravia 32" w700B

Also pleaSe let me know the relative risk of buying from US because the AMD price difference is too huge to ignore for me.

I only play good looking FPS, TPS and RPGs games. If a cheaper card can max out only the past games@30fps its good enough for me. Thank you for your help!

My advice is if you will be in the US then buy from a store, test the card as soon as you can. That way if there's a problem you can return it to the same store instead of mailing it somewhere from India.

By the way, if you are willing to play at 30fps, then a 1050 Ti should be enough. It has 4gb vram, so you will be able to use high settings. If you will replace the entire computer, why spend more on this videocard than you need to?

I was leaning towards rx480 as well but it's pricing in India is almost 60% more same goes for 470. So if I buy from US newegg and it's DOA can I return it from India for a refund/replacement?

Thanks everyone for your help. If the 1050 ti can deliver solid 30+ FPS in past games and some current ones it is perfect to keep me busy for a year. Also nvidia price difference isnt that big in India, max 25$ and with the advantage of warranty. Really wanted to go Team Red on this one but its their shitty pricing
