Hi guys, I just upgraded my RAM up to 8GB from 2GB, and believe me, I could still play it at 2GB with an average fps of 10-20. Now I have upgraded my RAM, but it still has the same performance, it doesnt affect the fps of other games aswell, it just stays at a normal rate of 10 - 20 FPS in CS. I would like to request some back-up from the community and ask so that I can upgrade my PC to a better version, I have a low amount of budget so you guys can pick atleast 1 to upgrade from my pc, it should be compatible for the entire system tho. Ty

Specs of my PC:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
Intel Core i5 650 @ 3.20Ghz( is it normal for at 100 degrees celsius )
8GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz
Foxconn H55MXV-LE
Nvidia GeForce GT 630

Specs were taken off Speccy <3

Solution
After just 1 day of my solution, mixed with the other friendly members that follow the thread. I am pleased to announce that my CSGO is now running a solid 100 fps! (on dust2..) I have cleaned the heatsink, fans, components. Especially my main objective, to replace my thermal paste! What I did was simply re-apply all the components of my current computer. Unplugged all my connections that include the fan, hard drives, and etc. I cleaned them all accordingly to the correct method. I have also added 2 extra fans, both staying at the bottom for input, I would say? My graphics card is running more smoother now for the reason that I just unplugged it I guess... My CPU fan running I would say about 40% faster now, and well the rest stays the...

Your CPU shouldn't be coming anywhere close to 100c. More like 50-60c. Might want to clean the heatsink and make sure it's mounted properly.

Can this be a solution to my gaming diffuculty?

yes. CPU throttling will drastically kill fps.

Hello again, I have cleared out the dust remains of my heatsink to no avail. Do I have to clean the connection of the CPU and Motherboard? Specifically, the circuit in between the two components. The copper or whatever is inside. May it contain dust that I have to eliminate because my CPU is still currently running at 100 degrees, and Im afraid that I cant play like this till it gets a solution.... Thank you

Have you ever changed the thermal paste between your CPU and cooler? If not, that's what I would do first, cause those temps should not be happening. Running at full load you shouldn't go past 90c.

Okay, Ill keep an update about my pc in the next week, Ill change the thermal paste, clean the cpu components (not the actual CPU but the heatsink, fan, etc.) Ill also clean out other components that might be malfunctioning such as dust filled components. I will review my observations next week, thank you everybody.

I've got a Asus 2GB GT 630, and an AMD A8 6600K. According to benchmarks my AMD should have about 20% better multi-core performance, but when playing CSGO I typically use windows power plan to lock the clock rate at 3.1Ghz instead of the stock 4.1Ghz, because any more than that is just extra heat/noise.

With the setup listed above, it will easily maintain 60 fps on medium settings with a 1440x900 monitor.

When you re-apply thermal paste, make sure to use a little rubbing alcohol to clean the top of the CPU so the new thermal paste has a nice surface to stick to.

If after it's all said and done you still are having FPS issues, download HWinfo64 and install it. Then you can use that while you're playing to see what everything is doing, and what's holding you back.

My CPU fan running I would say about 40% faster now, and well the rest stays the same. So my possible solutions that solved the problem were:

1. Cleaning the heatsink(Possible)
2. Re-applying the thermal paste
3. Re-connecting all components of my CPU

Thank you for your co-operation everyone! I hope you enjoy my solutions and I am also pleased to be helped by the community
This was my outcome on before https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JG72-lfFVJo
I will upload a video containing the fixes applied after.

Thank you again and love you all,

It was your CPU. Once it hits around 100c it will throttle it's voltage and clock speed to prevent damage which will also bottleneck the GPU running that slow. Glad to hear it's running at peak efficiency now.
