Hi,

My brother is looking for a desktop to use for work/small level gaming(CIV V or rocket league) at home. But he is more of looking to use it for work purposes. His budget is around $350-500 but no more than $500. As cheap as possible would be great. Will not need OS.

Thanks in advance.

This should be a solid build for that usage, just bear in mind this board needs the up to date BIOS in order to be compatible so you'd need to check that with the store before buying.

This is as close to 350 I can get. Used parts would be OK in this situation. Maybe finding a i3 or i5 Haswell combo would be good.

Thanks for the replies. I will take a look at both and see which one would work best. From what i can see both of you selected the same graphics card, which is good and helps narrow down the search.

I am also looking at a Intel Pentium G4560 build around a graphics card that is incompatible with the motherboard in my current system. They both recommended the same processor, and 2 different motherboards for it, as well as the same graphics card.

I would be weary of the ASUS H110M mobo because it would require a BIOS update for a 7th gen Kaby Lake processor - the MSI is the same mobo I'm considering for my build and supports 7th gen out of the box (but is $20 more).
