Hello,

So recently i fucked up one of the pins in the CPU socket on my GA z97x and my PC is having several small issues. The pin is bent in itself and appears to be irreparable, dont ask me how i managed that one, i have no idea.
I have been looking around on this page and on others, but most Mobos they recommend are not sold anymore. Since im fairly happy with the performance of my current setup, im not gna do any substantial upgrading anytime soon, so i wont need a very strong mobo. I do want to OC my CPU eventually, so the board should be able to handle that.

My current setup is:
i5 4690k
GTX 1060 6GB
2x4GB DDR3 1600
GA z97x

I had hoped to not spend more than 80-90 euros on this.

Thanks for reading.

ASUS Z97m-Plus, amazing little board, even surprised me, it performed better than my £350 Gigabyte Z87 Sniper 5 motherboard, I got a year and a half service out of it without any faults until I sold all of my Intel gear.

Is there a way to compare the one I listed earlier with the z97m? As I said, I dont really have high needs. What i need it to do is to handle OC of an i5 4690k, have all the sockets i need it to have and not break within like 2 years. I have the money to spend on the z97, but obviously if theres a cheaper board that suits me just fine id use that. The one i linked is on sale, down from 80 euros.

not really much difference, its more about which cpu, ram and graphics card you're putting in it, most Z97 boards will pretty much perform the same with the same hardware: http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/comparison-versus/3439/2961/ecs-z97-pk-v1-0-vs-asus-z97m-plus

Im gna open a new topic specifically asking for this mobo. Nothing personal of course, I just want a few more opinions. I searched the internet for a bit and found some old threads with people really disliking ECS for gaming needs.

I understand, I wasn't a big fan of ECS either back in the days when they were bigger, that's why I thought they had disappeared.
