Hi,

My pc is having some minor issues. They are more of annoyances than problems. It is very loud and i am not sure why, it does not run games smoothly, especially newer games, and has some frame drops.

Here are the specs:
Motherboard- MSI Z97 PC Mate
CPU- Intel i5-4690k Devil's Canyon Quad Core 3.5 GHz
GPU- GIGABYTE Radeon R9 380 GDDR5 2Gb
Ram- Corsair Vengance 2x8GB(16GB)
HDD- Seadate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm 64Mb Cache
SSD- King Dian 240Gb S400XT
Case- Thermaltake CA-1B1 SPCC ATX Midtower
CPU Cooler- Intel Core i3/i5/i7 Socket 1150/1155/1156 4-Pin Connector CPU Cooler With Aluminum Heatsink & 3.5" Fan For Desktop PC Computer
PSU- EVGA 500W

Any suggestions or help as well as pc upgrades would be appreciated.

Have you cleaned your PC? There could be dust making it loud. What are your temps? The high temps could be the cause for the frame drops and the loud noise could be coming from the Intel cooler. They are known to be loud. I would suggest getting a new cooler like:

http://pcpartpicker.com/product/46tCmG/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhd14

http://pcpartpicker.com/product/hmtCmG/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2

The last one isn't for overclocking. I would suggest this one because it will keep your CPU cool and will be quiet. If you wanted to get into overclocking later then the top two would be OK.

I have ruled out viruses, temps can get high but not to be concerned with. I have not tried overclocking, to be honest i do not fully understand it myself. Task manager usually has the common applications running but i try to close as many nonessential as i can before playing. It got better when i upgraded my RAM to 16 instead of 8 GB but it can still be slow at times and loud.
