Hi, im newbie in this forum. Sorry if i ask in wrong section.
My question is, i can buy core i7 960 + motherboard gigabyte x58 + Zalman CNPS10X Performa cooler - just for 200$. Can i overclock it with this cooler? And it's good for gaming, if i put gtx 1050 there? I want to build budget gaming pc, but core i3 6100 with motherboard is 300$ in my country. Because of that i want buy i7 960 + gtx 1050. So can this build live 2-3 years on med-high settings? My monitor is 1366x-768p. Also i can buy r9 290x for same price with gtx 1050 2gb.
Thanks for the answers..

I think that is a good deal for that price, I will personally give it a go.
I'm actually running an X58 as well, with a core i7 920 @2.70Ghz and a similar cooler as the Zalman you mentioned (mine is a Cooler Master TX3 Evo, but I think that your Zalman is far more efficient). I personally never had the need to OC my CPU, and I actually play every new game @1080p with no problems at all (I got a GTX980 and 16gigs of ram), if you had a good quantity of ram and obliviously a good GPU like the one you mentioned, you still can max out most of new games with no fps drops/stuttering or similar. I also suggest to add a SSD to the rig.

On a side note, that CPU is still great for OC, you can actually go for 4.0 Ghz, but I personally don't know...
