On Friday, I stepped away from my computer and returned to evidence of a BSOD. Since then, the time on my computer has been wrong. I've tried manually resetting it, syncing it to internet time, and running a malware scan without any effect. Every time I reset it, it seems to lose time again after several minutes.
My computer is many years old, but still in pretty decent working condition. Aside from having to replace a failed hard drive five years ago and a failed USB port - I haven't had any issues with it outside of some freezing fits every now and again. This BSOD was the first since my hard drive failure.
Any ideas what is going on? Do I need to replace my CMOS battery or prepare for the worst?
