I have 2 HDDs in my Optiplex 755 and I was using the one with windows 7 installed. After that I wanted to switch to my HDD that has windows 10 by accessing the bios but I couldn't boot into it. Ive tried startup repair but that doesn't help and other things like resetting and keeping my personal files doesn't help cause I get an error. I don't have a recovery image and I was dumb not to make a system restore backup. Anything else I can do.

'used my USB'.

Details, please.

You created a bootable Win 10 USB?
And then you installed the OS on this drive?
Was the Win 7 drive still connected when you installed Win 10?

When you start the system, does it give you a boot menu to choose which OS?

I created a bootable windows 10 USB and then after installing it on my HDD i got another HDD months later to install windows 7 on it. I didn't get the problem until today. Also it doesn't give me a boot menu to choose which os. I disable the drive in the bios every time which sucks.

If you disconnect the Win 7 drive and try to boot up, what happens?
