I bought a single stick of 16gb ram instead of 2x8gb. Im trying to play battlefield 1 and i have good specs but i get bad fps and high cpu usage. I researched it and i need to be in dual channel to get stable performance in battlefield 1.

Could i add another 8gb in the second ram channel? Would that work or should i sell my ram on ebay and buy a 2x8gb?

Normally, single-channel or dual-channel configurations don't matter most in games, some perform better with dual and some dont, usually it's only a 3 FPS Difference either way.

If you have a REALLY GOOD GPU ( Like a GTX 1080 Ti ) but a "Really Good CPU" ( like the Intel Celeron E3400, 2.6 GHZ 2C/2T ) Then your "Good CPU" Wont be sending enough info to the GPU, resulting in a huge bottleneck, resulting in less fps, resulting in crappy gameplay.

My solution get a better cpu/gpu.

Ram is not important.
