I have a USB 3.0 flash drive, when I plug it into the front USB 3.0 Port on my PC it will recognize but after a minute or two a message in the systemtray says that the device was disconnected.

This only happens with this one flash drive, I have other USB 3.0 Flash drives that sill stay connected with no problems in the same ports.

The one that keeps disconnecting will stay connected only when plugged into a USB 2.0 port.

System is HP Z200 Workstation, Windows 7 Pro, the Front Header was added to the PC (same with rear USB 3.0 ports on a PCi card) and everything was working fine until a few days ago. Flash drive in question is Lexar JDS75-128 (128 GB) and was purchased less that 6 months ago.

I have already tried changing power setting on the USB ports and reformatting the USB flash drive.

Solution
Try the USB 3.0 on another computer(s) USB ports 2.0/3.0.

Keep track of the the results (you already have a good start).

USB drives are being made as cheaply as possible. Could well be that the USB drive in question is (or has) become faulty.

Especially as it warms up while being used. Use your hand to see if the flash drive seems to be warmer or hotter than other working USB flash drives that you use.
