So I built my PC roughly 8 months ago. Recently however when I press the power button the fans switch on, motherboard lights up but the hdd light, gfx fan do not. As a result I get no display on the monitor. This will happen a few times then randomly it'll boot perfectly and the PC will run as if theres nothing wrong. When I shut down and switch on again the same things happen. I reassembled all the parts, reset the bios to no avail. I'm not sure maybe the PSU is flaking on me but I haven't been able to try with another yet.

Below are the stats:
Intel Skylake Core i5 6600K 3.5GHz 6MB Cache LGA 1151
MSI B150 GAMING M3 Intel
Kingston DDR4 16GB(2x8) HyperX Fury Black 2133MHz Ram
Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB GDDR5
WD 1TB Blue 3,5" SATA III 6Gbit/s 7200 RPM 64MB Cache
Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB 500-500MB/s SSD
Aerocool BattleHawk 750W, - 5 Fans

Thanks

Solution
Sounds Like A Bad CMOS Battery, Or one of your RAM sticks are failing/ Have Failed. and yes, a bad power supply can hold your pc from booting. i suggest a 80 Plus Gold, bronze, or silver power supply. if none of these work, check your hardrive. that might be it also. Hope This Helped!

the rating of a power supply be it bronze or diamond encrusted with ruby red cherries on top has no bearing on it's quality .
