Hello dear tech enthusiasts, i kinda got lost in google trying to find an exact case like mine so i am finally here, had to make sure before doing anything wrong.

So, i have bought an ASUS R9 280 DirectCU II TOP 3GB 384Bit which has an 8 pin + 6 pin connectors on it.
PSU is Corsair VS 550
Apart from the 8pin CPU power cable, The PSU has TWO 6+2 pin connector cables looks exactly the same. and written PCI-E on them. (The cable starts as a single cable unit, then divides into two diffrent same type connectors, as in pictures)

Question is; Will i be okay with connecting a Single 6+2 to the 8 pin port, then the other 6 pin to the 6 pin port. (so there's no open slots)

If the answer is yes, you are my hero. If no, please guide me.

Thank you people! Here are the pictures

You have 2x 6+2 connectors.

If you were to use it, you'd use 1x 6+2 connector (8pin) and the 6 portion of the second 6+2 (for a 6 pin).

That being said though, the VS550 is not a great PSU (and worse than 'not great' if its >12 months old), and the 280 is a 200W card.
Depending on the balance of your components, you may (or may not) have instability issues - but you have the appropriate connectors to run it.

Thank you for the answer barty! The PSU is 6 months old. My old card was 5770 (8 y/o) which really needed an upgrade.

Other components are ;

i5-750 lynnfield that has 95W max power usage iirc.
2x 4GB RAM running 1600MHz (Corsair CMX8GX3M2B1600C9)
4x 1300RPM case fans
Hyper 212X (single fan)

So i assume instability is not likely until i upgrade my cpu.

Nevertheless i got my answer, thanks again.
