I just purchased an Acer aspire M5811 from a guy online and I switched everything over to a new case and upgraded a couple things. I've been trying for a couple days now to find out how to get the ethernet to work but can't for the life of me. I tried going online to find drivers and what not but no luck. Originally I thought it was a windows 10 issue (since it came with it) and that's why the guy sold it to me so cheap. But I went to Windows 7 and it still doesn't work for me. I'm getting extremely frustrated at this point and need all the help i can get...

You could not find the drivers or installing the drivers did not work? I found the drivers here https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/1880;-;Aspire%20M5811 if you were unable to find them.

I am not sure if you have to go to the device manager and do a "scan for hardware changes". You could always try that and see if your network adapters shows up and then from there you could check for updates again if they show and are not working.
