Hello,

I am in troubles right now. I cannot decide between these three keyboards. I need a TKL keyboard as I am constantly on the move, and a TKL is the perfect size for my backpack. The G410 is brand new off of Kijiji (Canadian Craigslist) for $100, the BW TE is $110 refurbished off of Newegg (although I 100% trust Newegg refurbs as I own a few), and the K65 is brand new also off of Kijiji for $150.

G410

Pros:
Cheapest ($100, no tax or shipping)
Game & brightness buttons

Cons:
Aggressive gamer look
Romer-G?

Blackwidow TE

Pros:
Razer Green
Simple and clean

Cons:
Will cost around $130 after tax and shipping
No volume, game, or brightness buttons

K65 Rapidfire

Pros:
MX speed
Volume, game, and brightness buttons
USB passthrough
Textured WASD+ and space keys

Cons:
Most expensive ($150, no tax or shipping)
Wide font

I will get a mouse of the same brand keyboard that I choose, but I am buying the keyboard first. Which one would you guys recommend?

-Rylie

UPDATE #1: I play a lot of CS:GO.

UPDATE #2: Made a pros and cons list.

For the G410, if you can get past the looks go for it since it's the cheapest and is a solid keyboard nonetheless. I assume you've tried Romer-G switches but if you haven't you can always watch/listen to typing test videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLDFn4CxebE (<- on this video a many people in the comments seem to like the G410's switches)
For the Blackwidow TE and K65 it's basically: "Do you want RGB, media keys, textured keys + the USB passthrough or are they just bonuses?"
Personally, I would go for the G410 since it's compact, has media keys and solid switches + RGB, and is also the cheapest.

Alright, thanks for the input. I've heard lots of good things about Romer-G, but I have also heard they bear a resemblance to rubber domes. I've never tried them personally, but it's hard to judge a switch by listening to YouTube videos. I do feel as if the USB passthrough and volume buttons on the K65 simplify life, do you think they're worth the extra $50? If I get the G410, I will get a Logitech mouse too.

I guess with the switches you can always try a keyboard in store if allowed or maybe a friend's as that will really sway your answer. With the USB passthrough and volume buttons? I really can't justify the $50 price gap unless there are other features that you're looking for that happens to give more sense to paying an extra $50, but yeah, I honestly don't think they're worth the extra.
If you want a Logitech mouse, purely for FPS I'd suggest the Logitech G403, and the G502 as an all-rounder.

Alright, thank you for your answers. I was looking at the G600, since the keyboard has no dedicated macro keys. I play CS:GO, and an MMO mouse for FPS isn't the best, but I am planning macros for weapon buys and b-hopping. I was also taking a look at the G203, which is cheaper than the G403.
