are the cables supposed to be to the side or behind the motherboard (other 2 questions) case swapping/how many mounting screws

are the cables supposed to be to the side or behind the motherboard

i put them to the side... im just wondering if im doing the right thing

was only able to put 3 screws from the motherboard to the case (same as last computer had it for 1 yr and half till i bought new computer)

is it possible to case swap also.. i know of the precautions ... has anyone ever tried doing this???

Behind the motherboard offers a roomier case with better airflow through it. It also looks nicer. However, it's not really necessary if you aren't experiencing high system temps. Case swaps are easy. Just label all your wires before you start. Better yet,take pictures if you are inexperienced. It will help dramatically.

As for the motherboard screws, are you missing the standoffs under the motherboard to screw them into to? There are usually extras that you can unscrew and move to accommodate different board sizes.

no stand off screws were missing, i was only able to align the asrock fatal1ty board to 3 screws...
i didnt try without i/o but
i must of tried aligning the motherboard dozens of times still came out the same
everythings connected and works like a charm
i just wanted a techs point of view
i didnt peep putting the cables behind the motherboard didnt strike my mind at first
