do i need to supply any other info?

as title says, im looking to give this old dog a bit of new life. ive toyed with the idea of building a new rig altogether and using some existing parts from this machine but im not thrilled with having to re-install windows etc etc
i would like to know if its possible to 1 upgrade the GPU without changing the power supply and 2 what GPU can i get cheap thatll do the job

i predominantly play games like rust and player unknown at the mo

any advice would be greatly appreciated

cheers!

Yep, everything'll be fine.
Ditto on the waiting, especially for tech, really sucks. :(
Got my S8 coming in 10 days, my iPhone 5 lasts something like at best 4 hours on a lazy day, just on screensaver mode.
It goes from 100% to 0% just by checking notifications a couple of times an hour or sending a few texts.

Are you going to be playing at 1080p resolutions? If so, then depending on how good that PSU is, you should at least look at a GTX 1050, possibly even an RX 470/480 (4/8GB) or GTX 1060 (6GB), although it might be pushing it a bit for those. Anything more powerful will almost certainly require a new PSU.

Do you have your motherboard manual? It might list in there what the size limitations are for your PCIe slots. As long as you have the power & the physical space, you should be fine.

I suppose your right but damn if I hate to wait! I take it the RX will run fine without any need to change my power supply?
