My mobo is the asrock 970 pro3 r2.0. None of the cores seem to be locked on taskmanager. I tried updating my bios. every single application+BIOS tells me I only have 4 cores and 4 threads. Also i seem to be getting lower fps in games than other people with the same exact specs as me. By the way I just checked my device manager and when I go to the "Processors" thing it shows 6 AMD FX 6300's.

Geez... I've literally tried to fix this problem for over a week now and 7 minutes after posting a thread about it I found the fix 
So just leaving this to anyone here experiencing the same problem: Do Windows+R and type in msconfig. Go to boot>advanced options and uncheck the number of processors box. Reboot and everything should be fine.
