Hello,

I need to buy/build PC for architecture usage. Currently I'm using Archicad, Rhino or Vray and photoshop from time to time.

I found used HP Z420 workstation for around 450$.
CPU: Intel® Xeon® E5-1650, 12MB Cache, 6x3.2GHz
Motherboard: Intel C602 chipset
Memory: 8GB DDR3
Storage: 500GB HDD
Video card: nVidia Quadro 2000
or with 16GB memory and Quadro NVS 450 video card

Please let me know what do you think.
Should I build new PC or buy used Z420 and add extra parts like SSD or new Video card.

Thanks in advance

I myself am not an architect, I am not specifically familiar with the programs you may use. It seems like a solid build for your use, though. But if it were up to me, 8GB DDR3 is ample, but I'd upgrade to a 16GB Module. And for faster boot times, I'd instead get a 500GB SSD. It's totally your decision though.

I'm sorry if this reply wasn't what you were looking for.

Have a good day.
