I am doing a silverstone build in case SilverStone Technology Grandia Series Aluminum HTPC Computer Case for ATX / SSI-CEB - Black (GD09B)... but the way it is designed, there is not enough room for the cards I have above GTX660... I have a 760 or a 970 to put in but I would have to use other PCIE slots... Will I lose performance if I use secondary or 3rd slot? Is gpu boost only one first port like other boards?

Multi-GPU Support
Supports NVIDIA® Quad-GPU SLI™ Technology
Supports AMD Quad-GPU CrossFireX™ Technology
Expansion Slots
2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x16 or dual x8)
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x2 mode)
2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 *1
2 x PCI

Solution
Because of 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16. The second slot does run at x16 if single card installed, but even at x8 you'd notice no loss in performance.

So no performance Loss? I will go another direction if I have to because I can still return case, But if second PCI slot works the same that would be great.

I assumed so as it has 4way sli cappabilty and at least 2 pcie x16 3.0 ports but I have never really been in a situation where I need to use secondary as primary... thank you for info. YOu would happen to have a why you said that? peace of mind ya know?
