I am looking to upgrade my PC with the new releases of Ryzen 5. I currently have an fx 6300 which isnt doing so hot, and i think that a ryzen 1600x would be a huge jump. My GPU is fine, its an r9 380 which does great on the games I play. I have my first PC and then the one I am currently using that I want to sell. I dont really want to use things that will cost me money to sell like amazon and ebay.

Specifications for the old PC
i5-3470
Geforce GT 640
8gb ddr3 ram
550w generic PSU
This PC was bought off Tiger direct over 4 years ago.

Newer PC
fx-6300
corsair H60 water cooler
r9 380 asus strix
16gb hyperx fury memory
(I am going to take out the Hard drive and SSD so I can put it into the new one I want to buy)
Sentey 725w PSU

Leave the hard drive in there if it is only 1TB. The cost of a new hard drive will be much less than the hit you will take on non-bootable PC. No bootable hard drive and no OS means only techies looking for a cheap computer will buy it. If it has Windows and boots. Your audience is opened up to anyone who wants a decent computer to use. As for the i5-3470 if it has no hard drive. Grab some el cheapo 320GB unit off PCPartpicker.com.

The only thing that costs money on eBay is if you actually sell the computer. Otherwise the listing is free if you don't do anything fancy. Those fees you pay are generally offset by a higher sales price.

If you want to sell locally try Craigslist or go higher tech with an App like Letgo.

As far as worth the i5 is probably worth about $200 to $250 booting, $100 with no OS/Booting. As you sound as though you are keeping the GPU. The FX-6300 is probably worth the same. Maybe a little more. Without a gaming card. Most people won't care about the water cooling or big PSU.

Put the i5-3470 cpu+mb+ into the other case that has the better power supply and 380.
Use the faster memory with the i5-3470. If you have the clips and stuff for the H60 cooler for intel cpus, put it on the i5-3470 too. If not use the stock intel cooler.

Put the parts left over in the old case or just sell them.
The FX-6300 with the stock cooler, GT640, the 8gb kit, ect.

i guess I can erase the HDD and just keep windows on there take out my SSD for my new PC and leave the GPU in it as well, then I will have one older PC without a drive, and a newer one with a drive and everything else to sell, all I would need to take out is my SSD but then I'd have to buy windows

I would reorganize your pcs to look like this to get a maximum of money (aside parting it all out on ebay)

Intel PC (ebay avg, price sold)
i5-3470 (75$)
corsair H60 water cooler (75$)
r9 380 asus strix (125$)
16gb hyperx fury memory (100$)
Sentey 725w PSU (25$)

sell 375-425$

AMD PC
fx-6300 (80$)
Geforce GT 640 (25$)
8gb ddr3 ram (40$)
550w generic PSU (25$)

Now if I were to sell on ebay without doing an auction would i be charged, because it says on there website you get 50 listings a month without a charge, i may be reading it wrong but i believe thats what it says

You only get charged if it sells. Unless you list more than 50 items in one month. After 50 items it is some nominal fee.
