hello , five pc connected to a switch (TP Link 8 port 10/100 MBPS switch TL-SF1008D) iam sharing some files on the network between pcs , and the transfer rate is 11 MB/s max . the question is , is this is normal ? and is there any way to increase this rate , or it is stuck because of the switch.

-another problem , everytime i want to turn on the pcs , i have network permission problems and i need to set the workgroup again , is there any way to make the pc remember the network lan .

sorry for my english

100Mbit is OK for gaming. Computers pay a performance penalty going between switches compared to being on the same switch. Those are pretty cheap quality switches. I would recommend getting a 24 or 48 port managed switch used from E-Bay (or similar). This is a business, you should use business quality hardware. Used 10/100 commercial switches like HP Procurve 2626 or 2650 are very inexpensive but almost indestructible.

i about to open a gaming cafe , 10 computers , 5 connected to a switch(1) and the other 5 connected to another switch(2) , switch 1 and 2 , are connected to a third switch and the third switch is connected to the router . switch type : (TP Link 8 port 10/100 MBPS switch TL-SF1008D) all are the same , will this be good for a LAN and internet gaming network ?

I am skeptical of the router you have, if your using $10 network switches. I am also skeptical that you will want to pay for fast enough internet speed to support 10 users.
