Is it better to have computer raised high up from the floor to prevent dust?

Hi guys, I'm thinking about a new computer desk. The one I currently use, I have my tower right next to my monitor and the printer on the thing (unit or whatever) that is below on the desk. I am thinking about a new computer desk but I'm thinking I should look for one that's bigger, wider mainly (for a bigger monitor) and still able to have the tower next to the monitor. I am thinking that by having the computer more raised up instead of pretty much on the floor it will get a lot less dusty. am I correct?

Thanks, I thought that would be the case, considering when I tidy my room all the dust gets gathered up in the corners and under the furniture and stuff. I find my computer staying pretty much dust free, it's rare I even clean it and when I do there's not much even there. Which is why for my new computer desk I am going for something similar but wider. This is what I currently have http://imgur.com/NNltL7k

Buy fan filters or some kind of fine mesh to place over your fan intakes. Even if you can just get something simple and tape it over the fan intake it helps immensely. Just don't put something over the intake that might restrict airflow. Fine mesh mosquito netting might be a viable option.

Thanks man, I don't think I need to really use anything like that though.. Was thinking carbon filter cooker hood, can't see it being safe putting on a fan though, but great for passive intake.

I have seen those trolleys that have the space for a tower and a space for the printer but I'm so used to having my tower next to my monitor. I have found that other people who have computers whose are either on the ground or just a foot or two off the ground they're full of dust.

That tower is a custom build I did a few months back. Cheap but smart and solid case, the PSU it came with I didn't use though I got a different one, loud and cheap I didn't trust it but the pc case is really good. That printer is a epson dx7400 I bought in 2008, still works perfect with compatible cartridges lol.

I just stand up and plug stuff in. 2 USB 3.0 ontop of the case, 2 3.0 ports in the rear. Several 2.0 ports at the rear as well. My keyboard has a 1.0 and a 2.0 port I use for my phone and webcam. All my USB ports are populated with charging cables for various devices like controllers, and other junk. Haven't had the need for a hub yet.

Of the devices I have plugged in, 2 webcams, steam controller, usb xbox 360 controller, keyboard & mouse, phone charger, wireless headset charger, 3d printer, htc vive, 2 micro usb chargers (for android or whatever). I have like 1 or 2 ports free for a flash drive.
