Hi all,
Windows 10, ASUS Z97-a mobo, GTX 970, EVGA gold G2 supernova 750W.
I have had this build for 2 years, and suddenly it boots intermittently. Sometimes it boots right away (rarely), sometimes it required several tries to post and boot properly. The other times, the fans spin, but the VGA LED on the MOBO stays on, and it will not post.
I have tried replacing the PSU, disconnecting the GPU, disconnecting and re-seating the RAM. No change.
I wonder if it is the motherboard.. I have not updated BIOS nor cleared the CMOS. i don't know if those would help. I also have a USB external audio interface, if that matters, but i have had it for a long time and the issue started a month or two ago.
Ideas?
Thanks very much!

I tried replacing the power supply. No change. I replaced the mobo with the exact same one and it worked.

The problem was that a few of the mobo cpu pins were bent. This likely happened when i assembled the pc and it got worse over time. This can be repaired (either by asus or someone else). I simply sold the defective part and bought a used mobo instead.
