Ok, I have been having latency problems with my computer for a long time now and it has these pops and weird noises when music is on especial if i do something while the music is on. I have re installed divers and looked in the performance monitor and closed high demanding things and nothing has helped. I ran latency Mon which is a latency test and it seems no matter what I do it still says I have a latency problem. when i restart my computer for about 30 minutes after It boots up I do not experience any of the problems. So I was thinking that getting a sound card might help with that but i am not sure If it will. So if It would help what sound card should I get, I am not looking to spend a ton.
My specs
I5 4690k
gtx 1060 6gb
8gb of ram
MOBO: Msi H81M-P33
windows 10

then you could benefit from a soundcard, yes

but i would reinstall windows first, sometimes problems with drivers will give yu this kind of problems, especially with cheap onboard sound cards

a xonar should be good in your case if your pc has a slot inside, if you don't have a slot, disable onboard sound card and try a usb soundcard
