We are using an FoneStar FO-455M, for streaming hdmi signal in a network.

If we connect one to the other directly hdmi video and audio are ok, but when we send him in a network with the IGMP protocol enable the units apparently are ok, but we received the HDMI video but no audio at output.
Can any one help to understand if video and audio are processed separated in the stream IGMP protocol.
Thanks.

Solution
IGMP is a signalling protocol it carries no actual content. It basically tells the switch I want to view multicast feed xxxxx. What the multicast feed contains is dependent on the application. In most cases the video and audio is encoded together. This function also has nothing to do with transmission it is part of the encoding to say h.264 or whatever. After that is blindly sent into the network and the client application decode and plays whatever it receives.

I would be looking for setting in the application.
