hello i have an FX8350 and a gtx 960 2 gig i like to upgrade mt Graphic card with out bottlenecking i like to keep my fx 8350 but just want a new card thanks carl

Solution
Well, moving up to a 4gb card, with everything else the same, means you can run at higher settings without losing framerate. So instead of medium settings/50fps you would have high settings/50fps. If you want higher settings AND higher framerate then you need a card with more than 2gb vram and it has to be a faster card too.

The 1050 Ti has the extra memory and it is faster, but my concern is you will be paying around $140 for a card that isn't $140 worth of extra performance over what you already have. You can mitigate the cost by selling your 960, so it might not be too bad.

anything higher than the 960 will bottleneck yes

The bottlenecking thing is overrated, I wouldn't worry about it if I was you. Your CPU isn't the fastest, but it's fast enough to get good use out of 480/1060 class videocards. The main thing to think about is cost and making sure what you get is a big enough improvement over the 960 you have. Since you prefer Nvidia then that means a 1060 for you.

yes thanks dontlistentome i just like 4 gig video double of what i got already i am playing Gta5 on high settings but it wont let me go to very high as it uses all the power of my 960 2 gig so the 4 gig 1050 ti looks great
