I have been looking for a laptop to game on (I don't really care about the graphics quality , just want a smooth game) .
I have two options for a graphics card :
The AMD RX 460 4gb (for laptops)
or The NVIDIA 1050 (for laptops)
I tried to compare using notebookcheck.com , and taking everything into account the gaming benchmarks of the AMD card looks better . but many forums say the 1050 is better , can someone explain why please ?
NOTE : the two cards tested on notebookcheck.com , had the same processor and ram etc..
I hope you can help

Though the RX 460 has 2 additional GB of VRAM over the 1050, it will never really use all that memory. The GTX 1050 is a better performer, averaging 10 FPS higher than the RX 460 in most titles. There won't be any significant bottlenecking. And neither of these budget cards can handle 1080p at ultra. The 1050 can do 1080p at high though with a decent 60 frames.

Basically, RX 460 has more VRAM, but slower clock speed, so 1050 should be faster. Also, I feel like AMD cards get really hot, especially in a laptop.
