Apologies if this is the wrong section for my question.

Hey guys. I'm experiencing this odd issue after installing a 1050 Ti that I'm hoping you can assist me in resolving. Whenever I start a video on Netflix, the screen goes black but I still hear audio. This happens after viewing for a few minutes or when I close the Netflix window after I'm finished viewing. It happens on Firefox, Chrome, Edge and also on the Netflix App for windows 10. The only way I've been able to recover video is to reboot the system. This ONLY happens with Netflix. Hulu, Crunchyroll, Amazon, and Youtube all work perfectly. Also, I can game for hours on end with no problems.

Things I've tried so far:
New HDMI cable
Swapped monitors
Remove and re-install Nvidia Drivers (used DDU)
Remove and install Gigabyte Drivers
Remove and Re-seat graphics card
Remove and re-install browsers and Netflix app
Turned off Hardware Acceleration on Chrome
Enabled Debug Mode in Nvidia Control Panel
Change the drivers global power management to Adaptive (from Optimal)
Downloaded HEVC sample videos (played fine)

My system:
i5-3470
ASUS z77 mobo
1050 Ti
16gb DDR3
500GB Samsung SSD
1TB WD Black
Corsair CX500 PSU
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Any help, suggestions, or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It's a Gigabyte gpu. I'm using the drivers from Nvidia directly. It's definitely worth a shot. I'll give it a try and post the results. Thank you Paul!

No probs I had a similar prob with a Nvidia card here.

I had to install the ASUS drivers because 2 later versions of the Nvidia drivers, stopped responding or making the screen black every 3-5 mins. Forever. Got rid of them.

It's been fine since (as long as I dont update them with Nvidia's crap drivers)

No luck. Cleaned drivers using DDU. Downloaded 375.70 from Gigabyte website. Installed but I still see the same error.

It was worth a shot.

It's definitely possible. That wouldn't explain why it performs so well while gaming though.

I'm no expert but, I feel like I messed up a setting somewhere. Not sure.

Thank you again Paul. 2 heads are always better than 1. Hopefully someone else will chime in with something we haven't though of.

I know this question is a bit old.. I would just like to add another option for people who are searching the same problem and ending up in this page..

Try disabling the iGPU through the mobo's bios. On some cases this solves the problem.

Again its not 100% fix but it might be worth trying. =)
