Hello guys,
you all helped me a lot these days, even though I haven't been registered in this forum until now.
But thanks to you guys I joined this quite amazing community.

First things first, I'm not a native english speaker. I'm sorry for that :D
PS: If you see some grammar errors, feel free to tell me. I'm willing to learn :)

I tried to sort my questions, i hope you can understand what i try to ask :p

What is the purpose of the PC?
The main purpose of the Computer will be the rendering and animation with 3ds Max and Alias.
Other Programs I use are Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.

What do I render with 3ds Max and Alias?
I'm studying Industrial Design so it could be a complete interieur design of a house.

Is gaming a topic?
Yes, but not that much important.

The Hardware
I cannot decide which CPU I should pick
i7 7700, i7 6700, i7 4790, or the new Ryzen 1700
Afaik the i7's are pretty close in performance.
Should I save the money and look out for an used i7 4th. gen?

Is DDR4 still not that much better than DDR3 or do you guys think I could take advantage out of it?

Are there some Ryzen users out there, who can tell me what your experiences with the Cpu in your daily work are?

So you guys
Have a nice day, and thanks for your time and answers :)

Solution
You want SINGLE RANK. I know there are several highly recommended RAM kits out there that guys are getting 3200 out of. I am just partial to the Gskill Flare based on my own reading and reviews. Follow what others are using and having success with. That's far better than making a costly mistake or having to deal with returns.

Madmatt: Yep. I see that point you make very well and it is very valid. For myself, I have a great air cooler than is compatible so I have to expense there.... although 65W is lower than 95.... :)
Used 4th gen - no mate.
Get yourself on a new current ddr4 platform , there is virtually no reason not to at all.

I7 6700/7700 - virtually identical so just base your choice out of those on budget/prices in your location.

The ryzen is absolutely worth a punt mate if you're basing use majorly on productivity with gaming just as a secondary.
It excels at multithreaded tasks & is still very good at gaming irregardless of the fps deficit compared to the intels.

On that basis though budget wise you should also heavily consider the 6c/12t ryzen 16000 & 1600x.

Apart from maybe the cheap budget pentium g4560 the 1600 is IMO the best price to performance ratio CPU released in the last 5 years easily.

Build a new system with Ryzen 1600 or 1600x... Either is fine, the X gets you higher base speed but at higher heat and lower OC overhead, which is sounds like won't be an issue for you, so perhaps the X. Budget choice is the non-X.

RAM!!!!!! Get a minimum of 16Gb @3200. No compromise on that.

You can get into a nice new build for $500-550 USD depending on your Mobo preference. Also, budget varies based on what parts you can carry over... Case, PSU, HDD/SDDs???

Heyhey,
thanks for your answer you guys are awesome :)

both of you seem to recommend ryzen, haven't expected this I must say.

Would you guys rather say i should choose a 1600(x) over a 1700?
I do a lot of rendering stuff, and cores could be important (afaik)

Ramspeed @3200? Is this even working properly without issues?
500-550 USD? May I ask what hardware you have choosen here?

You will get a lot of answers arguing 1700 vs 1600/1600x. I am looking at the 1600x myself as I would rather have higher base speeds than OC a lower CPU to the same speed. I'm OK with the $250 for the 'x' version.

If you look around and read mobo reviews, you will see plenty of people getting 3200 RAM speeds when they buy the compatible RAM for their mobo AND update their BIOS properly. It does seem though, that some mobo makers are paying more attention to their higher end boards than mid to low end. Keep that in mind. BUT, again, read reviews. I check out newegg every couple days just to see what people are using and how it works out.

As for parts...you need to decide if a B350 board is enough for you vs an x370. If so, you can find a B350 for approximately $80-120 depending on maker. Good, fast, reliable RAM I would say at $175. $220 for an R5 1600. That puts you between $475 and $550 depending on choices.

For myself, I am currently set on the ASRock Taichi which is an x370; R5 1600x; GSkill Flare RAM. That's roughly $630 for me. I'll carry over my case, PSU, and GPU (which is next upgrade).

WOW thanks mate :)
I gonna check the forums, newegg and reviews soon.

also than you for the detailed explanation :)

Last question :p
Is there anything I should look at when choosing ram? Read a bit about Dual and single ranked Ram

I think the 1600 (non x) is THE value chip personally.
Comes with a cooler, 3.7/8ghz easily manageable with it .
That puts it close to par with the 1600x performance for close to $100 less (bearing in mind you'll need to buy a cooler for the x edition chips)

& there's the big issue with the 1600x IMO , $250+ a $40 cooler & you're close to ryzen 7 1700 (which once again comes with a cooler) prices

Thanks again you both.
Which Ryzen it is for me i need to check first. Actually i tend to side with the 1700, because of the numbers of cores. But the decission is not made yet.

Okay i gonna go single ranked:)
