Hi Guys, sorry for the generic questions, but after reading lots of posts, can't see a clear answer.

I have a Hynix SL301 250gb drive which I use as my boot drive and a bunch of other programmes that run all the time like over clocking software and other apps. its at about 180gb used I think. Came free with something I ordered a couple years ago, seems to work really well.

I have a very old Toshiba 500gb hard drive - like 15 years old. I use this for steam and all my games. It also has music, photos, documents and all my other data. It's almost full. I think about 480gb used. I've also noticed that it seems to be getting slower on games, taking longer to load games, longer to load saves and new maps etc.

So I'm think I'll replace the old HDD with something bigger and faster. My question is:
- for gaming, what's the best solution? I've been looking at SSHDs like the Seagate Firecude. Seems like a good solution. I was thinking of another ssd drive, maybe a m2 drive, for my steam, but I play a lot of games at any time so I would need quite a big one, I think maybe 500gb minimum and 500gb+ ssd's are pricey. The SSHD seems like good compromise at c.£100.
- looking at SSHD i saw seagate used to do a 4tb SSHD for about £135 but they seem to have stopped this now. the 2tb Firecuda I think might be too small for me - are there any big SSHDs like 3-4tb that community would recommend?

Thanks, Matt

Solution
I run an intel 240GB SSD with a WD 6TB red drive will all my steam games installed on it, just short of 300, with all CD/DVD games that I have.

I have 2 other SSD installed as well for other programs, I have installed games on them before and then moved them to the WD drive and cant tell a difference between the two. Yeah the game might load up faster on the SSD but once in game cant tell the difference.

Thanks. Not sure I understand though. Is there a way to use the ssd and hdd together? Steam and games won't fit on the ssd. Are you suggesting I replace both my current ssd and hdd?

Thanks
