I get low fps in CSGO (83 on average with LOW and VERY LOW settings), PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (around 20 fps, sometimes 30 with lowest settings, low resolution etc).

I don't know much about computers, but I should think my computer could run the games a bit faster. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Specs:
CPU
- AMD fx(tm)-8350 eight core processor

Graphics
- NVidia Gtx 960 4g

Ram
- 16 gb Dual-Channel DDR3 ram

Motherboard:
- ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0 (CPUSocket)

Solution
I aint too hip on a 125w cpu on a 4 phase vrm motherboard to start with .

- 4 + 1 Power Phase Design

http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Pro3%20R2.0/?cat=Specifications

I prefer the 8 phase or higher for them power hungry hot running CPU from AMD to insure that stability [opinion]

try this out and look over scores that match your cpu clocking and gpu clocking

[ Number of GPUs = ''1'' ] single card use

like that top score under that

cpu
Maximum turbo core clock 4,916 MHz

GPU
Core clock1,526 MHz

Memory bus clock2,176 MHz

CPU:
- 43 deg C
GPU:
- 68 deg C

The resolution of my screen is 1920x1080. I do not have any mods installed, and all my drivers are updated.

'' I get low fps in CSGO '' just like all the 1000's of threads on that game just here at toms alone

seems a poorly optimized game to me looking at all that

just to start 205394 results

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/all.html?refine=low+fps+in+CSGO++

maybe some of the solved one may offer help ?

I have already searched through so many of these, and I have not found my problem. It's not only csgo thats not running at my computers full potential. Like I said, its for example battlegrounds as well.

Everything seems pretty normal to me. Can't really give you a workaround, sorry.
Search in those threads mentioned above, may they'll help you.

I think I need a new CPU cooler. It's not very good, and when I'm not playing my CPU temperature doesn't go down very much. So It's still too hot.

you see he got good overclocking on that to get that score so weed out what your running and compare and be in that ball park
