Ryzen! Bought Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz Led, but...

Hi there folks.

I bought some Vengeance Led, 3200 MHz ram, but i'm still able to return them.. my last components arrive saturday.

My question is... for the Ryzen line-up.. would i be better off to return them and buy some Trident Z, 3200 CL16 RBG ones? Price is almost the same.. +- 20-25 $..

Or would it have to be CL14, Trident Z to matter?

It's the problem with the current Hynix Die, which seems to be an issue for most people?

What would you guys do?

120gb Crucial M4 for windows,
525gb Crucial MX300
Windows Pro.

B-DIE isn't exactly just for retaining a good clock speed.
Most RAM kits don't come with the advertized frequency exactly, usually between 100mhz. B-DIE just gives you a more stable overclock. Most RAM kits can be overclocked, but B-DIE can extend the process in a way that draws more power (Mhz)
As we all know by now, Ryzen seems to benefit from faster ram. Mostly the Mhz.
Getting a different RAM kit with the same frequency thats more expensive would be a waste.
If you want it for the RGB there are also Corsair RGB RAM kits and GEIL EVO X RAM kits.
I would stick with the ones you have. No point in wasting your money.

That's exactly why i'm asking... it seems some people with a Hynix ram-die have problems running the specified ram MHz thus losing performance... many are stuck on 2900.. some even lower.

Where as Samsung B-die's tend to keep up with the specifications.

I do not know how often this occurs though and further more if it's even worth upgrading just for that? Might just be a few Bios updates. I'm not sure!

That's why i'm confused.

I want what's best... but i'm not sure it has to be Trident Z or whatever...
What's your take on that? Not just MHz vz MHz but their construction.

2900 vs 3200 even though both kits are 3200... not sure if the Vengeance ones can run 3200?

If anyone know anything about that... it would be MOST appreciated!

The thing is... the vengeance LED version is the exact same as the LPX, isn't it? Just with LED? lol

Some people say the LPX 3200 is fine for the Ryzen... others say that the samsung version is.

But am i even sure that the 3200 Trident Z is B-die? I saw those 3200 ones.. they cost more than a pair of CL14 in 3200 Trident Z in my country..

Could even get a 3600 kit for that price here :)

Can't tell if it's just a marketing scam, lol.

I've been checking for the past day or two just make up my mind...
I like the Corsair's look.. but i want what's best for my CPU. Looks still matters though.
