I recently built my own computer using a Z170 Mortar mb and an Asus Gaming monitor (VG278HV) and when I play certain games, my monitor makes these horrific noises. The noises change as I'm playing the game, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the frame rate. I don't understand why this would be happening if this monitor was built for gaming. Is it possible that the built in sound system on my motherboard is part of the problem? I'm just not sure what the cause is, it doesn't seem like this should be an issue. Is it possible that the monitor is faulty? The monitor is essentially built for high graphics, so why can't it handle them? I'm at such a loss, I've searched this everywhere and it seems like I'm the only one with this strange issue. Or at least mine is unique to those I have found with similar struggles. It doesn't even seem like the buzzing sound is coming from the monitor speakers, it sounds like my monitor screen/whatever is working behind the scenes in there is creating the noise, seeing as the noise persists even after I turn the sound off. If anyone has any ideas at all, please help!

Thanks!

connect your pc to a TV or any other monitor , if the problem is still there then it is from the PC.

If it is not , then return your monitor and get another one , could be defect with faulty components.
