GHZ And Turbo Cloack Frequancy

So my I7-4770K is 3,5 GHZ , There is a description saying i have 3,9 GHZ Turbo Cloack Frequancy.

Does this turbo cloack frequancy thing apply automaticly when i need that much of power?
without doing any OC/Profile change or whatever
because even if u would say its a OC Speed typical i7-4770K's go up to like 4,2 or 4,5 GHZ so....

Yes, turbo boost is automatic. With 1 or 2 cores active it can boost to 3.9 GHz, with 3 cores active it can only hit 3.8 GHz, and with all 4 cores active it's limited to 3.7 GHz.

No, it does that automatically and it's a good thing. All it does is give you a little extra performance when you need it.

ooowh i get it so for example when im gaming it uses less cores then for eg photoshop and other rendering stuff in the background so when gaming i get that boost more then photoshopping
