Everything appears to be on, but no graphical output

I recently installed a new CPU cooler in my custom PC. In the process, I had to take the motherboard out of the case, so I ended up disassembling and reassembling most of the build.

When I press the power button, everything appears to turn on (lights on the case and GPU are on, all fans are running), but no image shows up on my monitor, either via DisplayPort from the GPU or HDMI from the motherboard.

Also, there doesn't appear to be USB power output, as my mouse, which has LEDs that normally light up when plugged in, is not lighting up.

Here are the specs: spec list

The monitor I'm using is a Dell P2715Q, and it worked fine before I installed the new cooler.

I put too much thermal paste on while installing, so I removed it using a paper towel and isopropyl alcohol. When I was putting the proper amount on after that, I did notice a gray smudge on the green part of the CPU that I didn't think much of at the time, but I now think could have been thermal paste. Would that be a possible cause of my issue?

(As an aside, I'm aware that pairing a 1080 with a Haswell i5 is kind of ridiculous, but I only had the budget to upgrade the CPU or GPU, so I picked the graphics card because the only really high-performance thing I do with this computer is play games. I also know that there are better and cheaper options than a Founders Edition, but I had a Best Buy gift card and the FE is what my local store had in stock.)

Solution
Yes, there are definitely bent pins. I can see at least 4. 3 in top-left area, next to each other in single row. 4th is in right-bottom corner (and it looks like it has bent outside the socket).
Well, there's no way you could make the computer work in current shape. You will need to fix that.

Oh yeah, the cooler might be over-tightened. I did tighten it as far as it would go.

I did remove the CPU. I disassembled and re-assembled the whole thing because the hole in the bottom of the case didn't quite reach to where the holes for the cooler are.

I'll check all of the connections and see if that fixes it.

OK, I checked every connection. I'm starting to think there might be something wrong with either the CPU or the part of the motherboard that interfaces with the CPU, because all of the fans and lights that should be on are on, including those that get power through the motherboard. It's just that the CPU doesn't appear to be interfacing with USB or HDMI devices.

This is what the CPU looks like w/ thermal paste:

And this is what the part of the motherboard where the CPU goes looks like:

Does anything there look like it could be broken or something?

CPU is not going to suffer for over-tightened heatsink, but socket can (btw you used slightly too much thermal paste - use less next time). Unfortunately, the socket picture is not clear enough. Use more light and put camera closer to the socket. Because I think I see some problem there, but need better pictures to confirm.

OK. Here are two pictures, one with flash and one without:

Sorry about the delayed response – I've been busy with school.
