Hello,
So as the title states, I am looking for some suggestions in upgrading my PC. I recently upgraded the graphics card and power supply. I use my computer for gaming, but also for typical use. I want everything to run smoothly(smooth gaming, smooth scrolling, smooth startup), but I am not sure what to upgrade. The one thing I have been thinking about upgrading is my CPU, but am not sure if I should stick with AMD or go with an Intel processor. If I were to go with Intel, I would have to buy a new motherboard as well. Any suggestions are appreciated. (Nothing too crazy with price please)

Specs:
CPU - AMD FX-4300 Quad Core
GPU - Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM - 8GB (Not sure of the name, but probably some off-brand thing)
PSU - RM750x
Motherboard - MSI 760GM-P23
Hard Drive - Toshiba dt01aca200 (Not sure how much this affects performance)

Solution
You can either switch to intel, or go the Ryzen route.
I would recommend intel in this case, as it gives a slight gaming performance lead. If you wanted to do other multithreaded tasks (rendering) Ryzen would be better.

I would say 300-400. I'm assuming you would say to switch to intel?

The RAM speed is higher than the processor can make use of (it will downclock) but its only a few bucks more.
