I recently purchased an NZXT Sentry 3 Fan controller because it distinctly claims on the package to have "5x PWM connectors" only to find when opened that the connectors are actually only 3-pin.

How do these work to control 4-pin PWM fans when the connectors are 3-pin?

Will I still be able to control the fan speeds?

Will the LED's on my fans still function?

If so which 3 of the 4 pins need to actually be connected?

Thank you.

What NZXT means by PWM Connectors is that the plug has the physical dimensions to fit the 4-pin PWM cable that the fan uses, the fans are controlled by increasing or decreasing the voltage supplied to the fan, the leds on the fans will still work but because of the lower voltage they will be dimmer when the fan is used at low speed and plugging in your fans should not be an issue as the plug will only go in one way, meaning that those three pins on the Sentry will align with the correct pins on the fan

Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me.
