Solution
Yes.

Reference:

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/specifications/

See the listed "Back I/O ports" - i.e., 1 x LAN (RJ45) - Gigabit per the LAN specifications.

You have several immediate things that can be done with regards to establishing/re-establishing a wired connection:

Ensure that you have enabled the wired adapter and disabled the wireless adapter.

Download and reinstall new drivers for the wired adapter via the manufacturer's website.

Doublecheck the wired adapter's configuration with respect to your network.

Try another known working ethernet cable.

What are you plugging the ethernet cable into? Or do you mean there is no port to plug into?

Most computers/laptops have a built in motherboard wired ethernet adapter.

Check the specifications for your new computer.

If it happens that a wired ethernet adapter is not part of the build, then a wired ethernet adapter would need to be installed.

Or you could use a USB to wired ethernet adapter. Still need to install the necessary drivers.
