RAM compatibility - different latency

Hello Everyone,

I'm planning on building a ryzen system, with a 1600x or 1700x, both watercooled. Also, I'm planning on buying a motherboard, probably a msi x370 gaming pro carbon (or a gigabyte gaming5 aorus).

Checking on the compatible memory list, I saw that the GSKILL F4-3200C14D-16GTZSK (latency 14-14-14-34-2N) is compatible, but here in Brazil (where I live) the only one I found for sale was the F4-3200C15D-16GTZSK (latency 15-15-15-35-2N), and I won't buy on another country due to the high taxes applied for importation.

Will my system work with the memory with 15-15-15-35-2N latency? If it doesn't, can I change the latency so it works? All the other specifications between those two rams are identical.

Thanks for the help!

I find they need a little more voltage on the am4 motherboards, so I set xmp profile 1, then I bump up the voltage a little, I'm running mine at 1.38v, I get post problems at 1.35v, also if you are going to overclock the cpu too, you'll find a setting in there for cpu soc voltage, this is northbridge / mem controller, this needs to be raise a little to handle the extra ram speeds, mine is running at 1.125v never go higher than 1.2v total on this voltage, stock is 0.900v

It should work fine, I have the CL16 Trident Z RGB version (Not on the QVL) working fine in my MSI AM4 motherboard.

The QVL is just what MSI has lying around and tested in the board, obviously they cant test them all, as long as the basic is tested and on the list, I find other variations of it work fine too.

Thanks for answering me Seanie, my main question is already solved, but did you have to adjust anything on the BIOS? Like the latencies or overclock them...
