Why my ram don't work anymore

Hello all,so i boot up my pc and it show that i have 2 gb of ram (but i have 8) so shut-down and change the socket and now it don't work at all only boot up and black screen.

If you have 2 sticks of 4gb, check the manual, 1 of the memory slots has too be used over the other 3, try both sticks in that slot, one at a time, if one boots and the other doesnt, then you know you need to RMA the ram.
