I have windows 10 64bit installed I'd like to flash from inside of windows because the UEFI bios doesn't recognize .ROM format it only recognizes .CAP format.
I believe in order for this modded bios to work correctly it has to stay in .ROM format.
How can i flash this modded bios from inside windows?

Where did you get this modded BIOS and why do you want to flash it in the first place?

I mean, if it doesn't work for some reason, you can brick your board.

Another thing, I wouldn't flash the BIOS from under Windows, just use the USB BIOS Flashback. That's actually easier than installing a utility in Windows.

Others have used these modified bios's and have had success. I'm not too worried about bricking my mobo. replacement bios chip is like 16$ and it's a dip socket so easily replaceable. (no soldering required).

Well, you could, for one, simply change the file extension to .CAP

But now I realized that your board doesn't actually support BIOS Flashback, because you need an addon card with a USB port to use it.

So, all in all, I wouldn't do it, because it's way too risky. I mean, if you brick it, you need to get another BIOS chip and replace it, but at least it's not soldered onto the board. It can be reflashed, but if you don't have the equipment and/or don't know how to do it, then don't try it.

Would you know any reason for having a modified bios? I mean from what i can understand is the system overclocks better and is more stable with a modified bios. Can I still overclock this ES chip without a modifed bios? I"d like to get it to 3.5ghz if possible.
