So I have a MSI 1060 6gb video card, Intel I7-7700 36mhz processor, ASUS Prime Z270-A mother board, Corsair vengence 2x8GB memory sticks, Samsung 850 EVO 250gb SSD, 1tb Seagate Firecuda Hard drive, and 850W Corsair Gold cert fully modular powersupply. I have a fan in the front side of the tower and one in the back, as well as the factory fan on the processor(Which I plan to upgrade to either a simple water cooling system or a better after market processor fan)

What I am trying to figure out is what monitor will be good to run with this setup whether its through DVI or HDMI to get extremely good picture. I was initially having trouble with my Frams when I put all of this hardware into my tower because I rebuilt the PC from intel to AMD then back to Intel and never had to wipe all the hard drives. My goal from building this Rig is to get the best possible FPS. I know 60-75Mhz monitors are the best option just trying to find a good 27" Monitor to use for this rig at a not over the top price. I need as much wisdom from this community as it can provide.

So I need suggestions on Monitors, as well as potential programs to help me get high performance without risking the life and longevity of my hardware. Please SOS. Not very knowledgeable about monitors and only recently obtaining knowledge about hardware.

Thanks!

First, if you're serious about computer performance you don't change motherboard/CPU without doing a clean install of Windows. If you do that, how do you expect to troubleshoot issues or test performance? You'll never know how much the system is gummed up.

The other thing I'll mention is it's not a good idea to buy the videocard before deciding on the monitor. One reason is certain size monitors look best at certain resolutions. For instance, if I was getting a 27" monitor it would be 1440p, not 1080p. This means I'd need a videocard capable of 60fps 1440p gaming. If I already bought a 1080p capable videocard I'd have made a mistake wouldn't I? By deciding on the monitor first, I can then buy the perfect videocard for that resolution...

edit: Your eyesight has an effect. If 1080p looks fine to you on 27" monitor, then no one else's opinion on that matters.

So is my video card capable of the 1440p? I ask because I do know that the video card is capable of 60+ FPS, if so what monitor would you recommend?
