Building a new system with MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA and an i7 - 7700k. I am aware that I need a BIOS update to get the system to POST.
I am trying to download BIOS version 3401 from the ASUS website. I need to do a flashback as I do not have a 6th Gen CPU to get access to the BIOS and do the update from there.
Before moving the file to USB, I have formatted it to FAT 32 and placed the .CAP file into root of USB. I have renamed it to 'M8HA.CAP'. When I have completed this, I inserted it into the USB flash port, turned the system on, then pressed and hold the BIOS button for 3 seconds, it then flashed blue for about 5 seconds then the light has stayed on - This has been the same for over 30 minutes.
